About me

Gunissara was born in Burma. He started to learn about art in Mandalay while studying Buddhist literature. There were no opportunities to study art in Burma. Guinissara is currently in his 3rd year of studies in Digital Photography at the Art Institute of California - Hollywood.

His work mostly explores documentary, landscape, nature, travel and people. His interest in storytelling and journalism has led him to become a freelance photographer. In addition, he enjoys fashion, beauty, and portraiture. These other interests mixed with expertise in both professional software and equipment help to keep him current on trends in the field.

He believes that Photography continues to be on of the best forms of communication as well as a masterful medium for aesthetically and culturally exploring the world and expressing notions of creativity and beauty. Everyone has taken a picture at least once in their lifetimes. Photography is a ubiquitous medium deeply entrenched in many fields including: history, science, business, art, and journalism. This century, digital photography is undergoing an important revolution, becoming an even more integral part of our lives.

Gunissara would like to take part in and contribute to this exciting revolution for the society at large and for his own personal creative expression.
